The Role of the PMO
- Establish and maintain respected relationships with key stakeholders in the project
- Implement performance and tracking tools to monitor initiatives, milestones and communication plans
- Ensure the right balance between delivering process and technology solutions and minimizing risk
- Assist in developing, documenting and communicating processes, methods and tools
- Ensure projects are completed within scope, on schedule and within budget
- Work closely with principal stakeholders and customers to understand business needs
- Monitor project performance against financial parameters, schedule, resources, scope changes,
financial business/cost controls and project deliverable quality
- Partner with client to create integrated initiative and value proposition development
- Share knowledge across organizational boundaries
- Address complex business issues and facilitate issue resolution
- Provide quality control for all interim and final project deliverables
- Ensure effective communication, planning and execution across the project team
- Implement standard project management framework including project plans, work breakdown structures,
resource plans, detailed budgets, risk mitigation plans, communication plans, performance tracking and status reports
