Senior OBIEE Developer

The Job at a Glance

Animato is looking for an experienced Oracle OBIEE developer with 5+ years of development experience. The Sr. Oracle OBIEE developer is responsible for successful delivery of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and related components. This candidate will develop Business Intelligence reporting solutions using the Oracle OBIEE suite. Responsibilities include working with the delivery team to determine functional report requirements, writing functional specifications based on user specifications, developing and publishing reports and testing.

Overview of Position Functions
The successful candidate will perform the following activities:

• Install, configure and administer OBIEE technical environment, including architectural components of the tool (Security, Aggregation, Logical columns, etc.)
• Gather, understand and document analysis and reporting requirements
• Perform data analysis and modeling, design business intelligence architectures, and develop reports, ETL, and database design
• Performe gap analysis and implement pre-built OBIEE Applications for Finance and/or HR, integrated with Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft Financials or HR
• Develop reports & dashboards in OBIEE
• Design and execute test scripts and test plans for Unit, Integration, Regression and UAT testing processes

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates applying for this position must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Oracle OBIEE developer with excellent ORACLE/SQL skills
• Experience installing and configuring OBIEE
• Experience with pre-built Oracle OBIEE Applications for Finance and/or HR
• Experience modeling / building the OBIEE repository layers
• Ability to discuss and utilize the architectural components of the tool (Security, aggregation, Logical columns, etc.)
• Experience developing reports & dashboards in OBIEE
• Skilled in data warehouse methodology, data analysis and modeling, business intelligence architectures, report development, ETL development, and database design
• Knowledge and understanding of relational and dimensional data models
• Knowledge of Oracle EBS or PeopleSoft financial accounting data and functionality is a plus
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft HR data and functionality is a plus
• Knowledge of standard system development lifecycle concepts
• Ability to gather, understand and document analysis and reporting requirements
• Ability to translate high level requirements into low level design
• Understands the concept of data rollups/aggregation, capacity planning, data standardization, slowly changing dimensions, and data security
• Ability to design utilizing caching for drill downs
• Ability to design and execute test scripts and test plans for Unit, Integration, Regression and UAT testing processes
