Human Capital Management (HCM) Functional Consultant

Position Location: Dallas, TX

The Job at a Glance:

The HCM Functional Consultant works closely with the client, team lead and technical consultant in day-to-day issue resolution, researching new functionality, and providing support.On assignment, consultant is located onsite with a primary client and may be called to other entities to assist in training or support initiatives.Responsibilities include providing functional expertise for Oracle and/or PeopleSoft HCM Modules as appropriate for development and application support.

Overview of Position Functions:

The successful candidate will:

• Identify areas of process improvement and coordinate implementation of changes.
• Develop and document functional requirements, process flows, test scripts, test plans and perform system validations.
• Write or help write system specifications for customizations, reports, queries or other needed specifications.
• Manage and develop policies, procedures, and strategies related to the use, rights, responsibilities, access, and work flow relevant to Oracle and/or PeopleSoft Human Resources systems.
• Work with implementation teams to evaluate, design, setup and configure modules.
• Enhance audit procedure and reports to verify accuracy and integrity of system data, as well as to help the customer minimize or eliminate data inconsistencies.
• Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.
• Manage configuration (rules and tables updates) workload.
• Work with technical staff to troubleshoot problems.
• Develop and maintain end user training and documentation of system processes.
• Participate in continuous initiatives to improve Animato’s delivery model, develop new functional tools, improve operational efficiencies, and increase the effectiveness and re-usability of our application development efforts.
• Focus on continuous growth of skills to maintain high marketability and credibility with clients, partners, and co-workers.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates applying for the position of HCM Functional Consultant must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, any Human Resources related field, or equivalent experience required. MBA highly preferred.
• 3+ years of experience required in an enterprise-wide human resources environment including 2 years of professional consulting experience.
• 3 - 5 years of experience required in PeopleSoft 8.x Application implementations or upgrades.
• In-depth functional knowledge of one or more of the following PeopleSoft 8.x and/or 9.x modules: HR, Time and Labor, Base Benefits, Benefits Administration and Solutions, Payroll or Pension, Talent Acquisition Manager, Workforce Planning, HRMS Portal and Portal Pack, HCM Warehouse, Absence Management, ePay, eProfile, Candidate Gateway, and Manager and Employee Self Service Applications.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience is required including but not limited to; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with implementation methodology and change management is highly preferred.
